A backup supplier relationship means Fox Fuel is on file for your account -- product type, tank location, delivery access, contact information -- before you need an emergency fill. When your primary supplier fails to deliver, you call us instead of starting from scratch with a new vendor at a high-pressure moment.
Backup accounts carry no minimum volume and no commitment to switch. You keep your current supplier. Fox Fuel is the safety net. Most backup accounts use us once or twice a year. That is the point.
Setup takes 10 minutes over the phone or via the contact form. We confirm product, tank specs, site access, and billing. After that, the account is on file and available whenever you need it.

During high-demand events, established backup accounts receive the same routing consideration as primary accounts.
There is no minimum order for backup accounts, no monthly retainer, and no obligation to switch from your current supplier. You keep the supplier you have. Fox Fuel is on file when you need a fill they cannot cover.
The difference between a backup account and calling a new supplier in an emergency is documentation. Backup accounts have product type, tank access, billing, and delivery requirements on file. When you call, dispatch already knows your site. That matters at 2 AM during a storm.

New customers calling a fuel supplier for the first time during a regional shortage or storm event are the last to get dispatched. Priority goes to established accounts. If you have not set up a backup relationship before the emergency, you are starting from zero at the worst possible moment.
