TANK MANAGEMENT

Live Fuel Level Monitoring for Commercial and Industrial Tanks

Cellular telemetry for commercial fuel tanks - live level visibility, automated reorder alerts, and threshold-based dispatch coordination for single-site and multi-site operations. Converts reactive fuel ordering into managed replenishment.

Fuel monitoring active across commercial accounts in PA and NJ.

Operational Overview

Manual fuel tank management fails in predictable ways: someone forgets to check, the person who usually checks is out, or the tank drops faster than expected and the order doesn't arrive in time. For operations with a single tank, a runout is an interruption. For operations with multiple tanks across multiple sites, manual management becomes a full-time job that still misses things.

Fuel monitoring installs cellular telemetry on your storage tanks - each unit transmits real-time level data to Fox Fuel's dispatch system. When your tank level drops to the reorder threshold, Fox Fuel dispatches automatically. You receive a notification when the order is placed and when delivery is complete. No manual checking. No phone calls to order.

The monitoring system is fully integrated with FuelCube on-site storage units and is also compatible with existing above-ground fixed storage where cellular signal is available at the tank location. For multi-site accounts, all tank levels are visible in a consolidated view - enabling Fox Fuel to coordinate delivery routing across locations efficiently.

Monitoring is available as a standalone service and is included as standard with all On-Site Tank Programs.

Primary Output

Live tank level visibility + automated reorder alerts

Best Fit

Multi-tank and multi-site accounts; single-site high-uptime requirements

Best Pairing

On-Site Tank Programs; Bulk Fuel Delivery for monitored fixed storage

Core Service Components

Cellular Telemetry Hardware

Cellular telemetry sensors install directly on your existing tank, or are integrated into FuelCube units at the factory. The sensor transmits level data continuously over cellular network - no Wi-Fi dependency, no hardwired connection required. Battery-backed operation maintains monitoring during power outages. Compatible with most above-ground fixed storage configurations.

Threshold-Based Automatic Dispatch

Reorder threshold is set during account setup - typically 25-30% of tank capacity, adjusted based on your delivery lead time and consumption rate. When the level hits the threshold, Fox Fuel dispatches automatically. You receive a notification confirming the order. No manual action required.

Multi-Site Tank Oversight

For accounts with tanks at multiple locations - fleet yards at different depots, generators at multiple facilities, construction sites with multiple active deployments - all tank levels are visible in a consolidated account view. Fox Fuel coordinates deliveries across locations in the same routing run where possible, reducing per-delivery cost and logistics overhead.

Customer Visibility

Tank level data and delivery history are available to your account team on request. For accounts that need consumption reporting - gallons consumed by site, by month, by equipment type - Fox Fuel can provide delivery records in a format compatible with cost accounting and operational reporting.

What Goes Wrong Without a Fuel Partner

Manual Tank Checks Fail at the Wrong Moment

The person responsible for checking the tank is sick. Or in a meeting. Or assumed someone else checked. Manual processes have single points of failure. Cellular telemetry doesn't have a sick day.

Multi-Site Fuel Management Without Visibility

For operations managing fuel at five locations without telemetry, someone is driving around checking gauges or calling site supervisors who may or may not have accurate information. A single depleted tank at a critical site gets discovered when it causes a problem, not before. Multi-site monitoring surfaces low-level conditions across all locations simultaneously.

Reactive Ordering Creates Demand Spikes

When ordering is reactive - triggered by noticing the tank is low rather than by a set threshold - orders often arrive in clusters during high-demand periods. This creates competition for delivery windows with other accounts in the same area. Threshold-based dispatch allows Fox Fuel to schedule deliveries in advance, with better routing efficiency and more predictable arrival windows.

How Fox Fuel Solves It

Manual tank checks miss the low-level event

Continuous cellular telemetry with automatic dispatch

The tank level is monitored continuously. When it hits threshold, dispatch happens automatically. The human step that fails is removed from the process.

No visibility across multiple tank locations

Consolidated multi-site monitoring

All tanks in your account are visible in a single consolidated view. Fox Fuel can coordinate multi-site delivery routing based on actual levels - not estimates from site supervisors. You see what we see.

Unclear whether monitoring is included or extra cost

Transparent pricing structure

Monitoring is included as standard with all On-Site Tank Programs. For accounts adding monitoring to existing fixed storage, it is available as a standalone add-on. Pricing is confirmed at account setup.
