PERMANENT STORAGE

On-Site Diesel Storage with Managed Replenishment

Installed FuelCube storage, cellular telemetry, and threshold-based automatic dispatch for facilities, yards, and heavy-use locations that need reliable on-site diesel access without managing the replenishment cycle manually.

On-site tank programs operating across PA and NJ since 1981.

Operational Overview

On-site diesel storage converts your fueling operation from reactive to managed. Instead of ordering when you notice the tank is low - or discovering it's empty when you need it most - threshold-based replenishment means the tank is restocked automatically, before the level becomes an operational concern.

FuelCube is Fox Fuel's above-ground on-site diesel storage system. Double-wall steel construction, UL-listed, with secondary containment built into every unit. Available in configurations from 250 to 2,000 gallons for most commercial applications, with larger configurations available for high-volume facilities. Cellular telemetry monitors tank level in real time. When the level drops to your reorder threshold, Fox Fuel dispatches - no call required.

Equipment arrangements: purchase, rental, or volume-commitment loaner. The loaner arrangement provides the tank at no equipment cost for accounts that commit to a minimum monthly delivery volume. Site assessment and containment review are included before deployment for all arrangements.

Primary Use

Facilities, fleet yards, industrial sites, data centers, municipal infrastructure

Storage

FuelCube - above-ground double-wall steel, 250-2,000 gal

Program Format

Installed storage + telemetry + threshold dispatch

Core Service Components

FuelCube Installation and Site Assessment

Before deployment, Fox Fuel conducts a site assessment covering: access for tanker delivery, placement for equipment proximity, secondary containment requirements, electrical availability for pump and telemetry, and any local permitting considerations for above-ground storage. Site assessment is included at no charge.

Cellular Telemetry and Threshold Dispatch

Cellular telemetry monitors tank level continuously. Level data is visible to Fox Fuel's dispatch team. When your tank level reaches the reorder threshold (set during account setup, typically 25-30% of tank capacity), Fox Fuel dispatches a delivery automatically. No phone call. No email. No manual check.

Equipment Arrangement Options

Three ways to deploy a FuelCube: purchase, rental, or volume-commitment loaner. Terms are matched to the account's operating profile, expected volume, and how long the storage needs to remain in service.

Permitting and Containment Guidance

Above-ground storage tanks at commercial facilities are subject to EPA Spill Prevention, Control, and Countermeasure (SPCC) rules for facilities storing more than 1,320 gallons in aggregate. FuelCube's integral secondary containment and double-wall construction address most SPCC containment requirements for tanks under 5,000 gallons. Fox Fuel can advise on documentation requirements - formal PE certification for SPCC plans is not provided by Fox Fuel but can be referred.

What Goes Wrong Without a Fuel Partner

Tank Runs Out During Critical Operations

The most common failure mode for on-site storage is not equipment failure - it's a manual reorder that didn't happen. Calendar-based or call-in reorder systems break down under operational pressure. Threshold dispatch eliminates the human step that fails.

Equipment Deployed Without Containment Review

Above-ground storage without proper secondary containment creates EPA liability, spill cleanup liability, and insurance exposure. FuelCube's integral containment design addresses this for most commercial configurations. Deploying a non-compliant tank because it was cheaper up front creates downstream cost that exceeds the equipment savings.

Oversized or Undersized Tank for the Application

A tank that is too small requires frequent deliveries and runs higher runout risk. A tank that is too large creates fuel age and degradation concerns - diesel sitting in storage for more than 12-18 months without stabilizer treatment degrades. Tank sizing is part of the site assessment. Fox Fuel recommends the right capacity based on your actual consumption, not the largest tank available.

How Fox Fuel Solves It

Manual reorder cycle that fails under operational pressure

Threshold-based automatic dispatch

The tank manages itself. When level hits threshold, dispatch happens. You don't carry the responsibility for tracking it.

Containment and permitting uncertainty for above-ground storage

Site assessment before every deployment

Fox Fuel assesses containment and access requirements before any tank is placed. FuelCube's integral secondary containment addresses most commercial SPCC requirements. You don't need to figure out compliance - we review it with you before deployment.

Equipment cost as a barrier to on-site fueling

Volume-commitment loaner arrangement

For accounts with sufficient monthly volume, the FuelCube is provided at no equipment cost under a volume-commitment loaner arrangement. The savings from bulk pricing and eliminated retail fueling typically cover the volume commitment comfortably.
